News: Increased resource limits, new hosting services, new billing options

In the past six years, Scribehost has increased its resource limits twice...now three times. All Linux hosting accounts now offer more disk space, more bandwidth, and more SQL databases — all with no increase in price. Linux users now have a broader range of SQL apps available to them, with the addition of PostgreSQL. All hosting clients are free to use both MySQL and PostgreSQL. [ more information ]

Welcome, Windows Hosting!
Scribehost has also introduced Windows shared hosting plans, including ASP.Net, ColdFusion, MySQL and mSQL. Specifications closely mirror those of our Linux hosting accounts. There are some differences — features that may be available on one platform that don’t exist on the other, for example — but if a Linux acccount allows for a certain disk space and bandwidth usage, its corresponding Windows account will offer the same thing.. New billing system
Scribehost now offers additional ways for clients to pay their bills: Discover and American Express. Our new billing system also lets clients prefund their accounts, if they choose. Those funds will then be used to pay future hosting bills. This same system also includes coupon functionality; protected access to downloads, including templates; automatic discounts for nonprofit companies; and smoother helpdesk capabilities.
