Word of mouth advertising is one of the best ways to advertise: the vendor isn't just getting an impartial review, but a good recommendation from a happy customer. This means that all Scribehost hosting clients are a part of our advertising force — and as a part of our advertising force, you should share in the rewards when you help our business grow.
Send us hosting clients, and earn a $25.00 bounty per signup. You can choose cash payouts, or apply your credit toward any of our services — so if you send us enough clients, it's possible to earn yourself free hosting, a free pro CMS license, free domain registrations and free SSL certificates.
Q: Who is eligible for this program?
A: Anyone who signs up for Scribehost web hosting services can refer people and get affiliate credit.
Q: What do I need to do?
A: Just log in to the billing/helpdesk area, sign up, and copy your affiliate code to your site. You can also email it to your friends and associates who request it.
Q: Do my referrals have to meet any criteria?
A: They must maintain an account for at least ninety (90) calendar days; they must keep their account in good standing; and they must pay for their initial order with Paypal or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express). That's it. Even if you refer nonprofit groups (who receive a discount on all hosting services), you still get the same affiliate credit.
Q: How do I collect the credit?
A: Your affiliate account will be credited after your referred client has been signed up for ninety (90) calendar days. You can request a cash payout when you reach USD$100 in credit; or you can request credit toward your hosting account at any time. Simply submit a support ticket to the "Affiliate Program" department telling us how you'd like to redeem your affiliate credits.
Q: If I cancel my account, and still have credits I haven't used or collected, can I transfer them to my friend's account?
A: No, you can't. Affiliate credits are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another person. However, if an individual or entity has more than one hosting account with us, and affiliate credits with both, you can transfer affiliate credits between your multiply-owned accounts.
Q: Is the affiliate credit smaller if someone signs up for the smallest account plan?
A: No — the credit is the same, whether your referred hosting customer chooses our amethyst or our diamond plan, whether they sign up for monthly or yearly billing.
Q: Can I ever lose affiliate credits?
A: If one of your referrals has their hosting account terminated because they violated our Acceptable Use Policy within one hundred twenty (120) days of signing up with us, you will not the credit for that one referral.
Q: Can I add my affiliate link to Scribehost to my email or forum signature?
A: Yes...but be careful. Many forums also disallow affiliate links (it can be considered spamming), so check the community rules before posting. It's one thing to hand out your affiliate link to folks who request it. It's another to trick people into clicking an affiliate link.
Q: Can I lose my affiliate status?
A: Yes, but only under very specific circumstances. You may lose your affiliate status if the great majority of your referred customers violate our Terms of Service, or if we receive repeated complaints about affiliate-link spamming (posting your affiliate link to forums, newsgroups, or mailing lists in violation of that group's posted policies.)
